Extra Bedroom Socket

There is nothing more frustrating than not having a socket in the right place in your bedroom and having to run extension leads around the place to plug in the bedside light, alarm clock or phone charger. One of our customers approached us and asked us to install a new socket by his bedside table so he could remove the extension lead and not risk tripping over it in the middle of the night!

At Matrix Electrical Services, we hate to see any cabling and are fairly obsessed with tidiness, so surface mounting (as many other electricians would do) was not an option for us (when there is another option – unfortunately sometimes it is the only option).  As the property was essentially a mobile home, doing a good job of looking like a bungalow with the work that had been done, there is a small cavity in the wall which is accessible if you take your time!  Consequently, we were able to install a socket into the customer’s bedroom (connecting into the existing ring main) which now looks as though it has always been there.
